Hybrid Midwifery Care
For Families who would like the benefits of midwifery care, while still planning to birth within the hospital system, we are offering a hybrid care model. This care offers the support and expertise of our experienced midwifery care providers, through virtual visits in the prenatal and post natal periods. Within this model, our care will support and compliment the clinical care you are receiving with your primary provider, while allowing the educational and supportive model of midwifery care to help you feel more empowered in this time. We are not offering labor and birth support for families hiring us for this service.
Our hybrid care model is available for families across the state of California and Nationwide
What's Included in our hybrid care package?
Regular visits lasting up to 1 hour. These are offered as virtual appointments. The midwives are available for questions anytime by direct email.
Prenatal visits are offered at weeks 12, 16, 24, 30, 34 & 38 weeks of pregnancy.
Post-natal visits are offered at day 3, 7, 14 & 28
Prenatal discussions may include diet & exercise needs in pregnancy, lab work & ultrasounds, Sleep, body mechanics & changes, childbirth ed, labor & postpartum support, induction options and cervical exams in labor.
These discussions are centered around your questions with a focus on education and information on current testing, and well being of both mother and baby, in the midwifery model of care that is modeled in informed choice.
Postpartum care is essential for healing and supporting the new mother and baby. Having your questions answered by a patient and compassionate professional midwife in the early weeks after baby is born can be essential to successful and enjoyable postpartum experience. Postpartum visits will include information & support with debriefing your birth experience, breastfeeding, gaining proper rest and nutrition after birth, new baby care tips and holistic support for perineal or cesarean incision healing.
